Patricio "Pitbull" Freire is Bellator's best, but how would he fare against UFC fighters? 1

Patricio “Pitbull” Freire dominated Pedro Carvalho this week to advance in the Bellator Featherweight Grand Prix. His win led to many people affiliated with the promotion to begin stating that “Pitbull” is not just the best featherweight in Bellator, but the best in the world.

That’s a huge call. As always, Patrick Auger and Matthew Wells are here to break it all down for you.

Wells admits that “Pitbull” may be the most accomplished fighter in Bellator and that he is also one of the most exciting fighters in the promotion, too. But it gets “murky” when we start comparing him against fighters from other promotions, including the UFC.

Auger believes that “Pitbull” is the Bellator GOAT and clearly takes the “Greatest of All-Time” title over in that promotion. But this conversation sticks to only what a fighter has done in Bellator and not other promotions.

How would he fare against UFC fighters? And where would he end up ranking in the top #15?

Auger isn’t confident that he could defeat any of the top five but sees it as competitive against the top ten and top fifteen fighters in the UFC.

Wells states that the talent in the UFC featherweight division is that much better and is confident that Alex Volkanovski and Max Holloway would both “whack” him if the matchups ever eventuated.
