Miesha Tate at the UFC Gold Coast Media Day

Former UFC champion Miesha Tate is set to return to the UFC.

Brett Okamoto of ESPN reported that Tate (18-7) has accepted a fight against Marion Reneau (9-7-1) for July 17.

“My heart is full of passion, the fire has been lit!” Tate told ESPN via text message. “The sport has been calling for me, it’s time I answer.”

Tate announced her retirement in 2016 and then went to serve as a Vice President for ONE Championship. Tate mostly worked as an ambassador for the promotion in Asia and her role with ONE Championship was valid as of Wednesday, Drake Riggs learned.
