The press conference commences at 8 pm ET and fans can watch the video livestream below.

UFC 246 press conference live updates

Conor McGregor and his team will be on time for a UFC press conference, for once. How unusual.

Both fighters are here on time and shake hands before the press conference begins.

McGregor starts the interview by saying that he hasn’t changed much. He’s still the same.

McGregor says that it’s hard not to respect Donald and that although blood will be spilled on Saturday, it won’t be bad blood.

Cerrone says: “We’re here to entertain and blow the roof off of this motherfucker.” He also shares that “you’d have to be stupid” to believe that McGregor has no defensive wrestling ability. Explains that it won’t be easy to just walk forward and take him down.

McGregor says he’d want both Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal following UFC 246. He feels that the fight against Masvidal would be the more exciting matchup and points out that Usman has a similar style to Khabib Nurmagomedov — the ‘sniff the jockstrap’ style.

Dana White and Donald Cerrone shut down Morgan Campbell’s questions about Conor McGregor’s sexual assault allegations. Says that McGregor has already answered these questions on ESPN and that it’s now time to focus on the fight. Fans start booing the reporter as he asks the question.

Cerrone acknowledges that McGregor brings the biggest paydays. McGregor replies by saying: “You’re welcome, Donald. You’ve earned that multi-million dollar payday.”

Dana White says that January is a typically slow month for the UFC. But with McGregor vs. Cerrone headlining UFC 246, it’ll help the promotion get off to a good start in 2020.

Cerrone isn’t bothered by media members and fans who are overlooking him: “I don’t give a fuck about the media, I care about this guy right here.”

McGregor says that he can read ‘Donald like a children’s book.’ He respects the challenge but feels like he is well prepared to face Cowboy.

McGregor expresses doubt that Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson will actually happen: “They’re known for not making that walk.”

Cerrone says that fighting McGregor is the biggest challenge of his career. References how people say that ‘Cowboy cannot win the big fight,’ but says this is the ‘biggest one, so let’s see.’
