RISE 137 Poster

Japan-based kickboxing organization, RISE, returned to the Korakuen Hall over the weekend, and with them they brought a fantastically entertaining RISE 137 fight card.

Topped by a welterweight title fight, in the main event “Black Panther” BeyNoah looked to make the first defense of his title as he faced a worthy challenger in Bolivia’s Hideki. If the name BeyNoah sounds a little familiar to you, it is probably because he has fast become a favorite among Japanese kickboxing fans since finding a home in RISE. As for Hideki, he competed and won at RIZIN 17 last year.

In the co-main event, super lightweight champion Kosei Yamada faced Ryota Nakano is a non-title bout. Elsewhere on the card, #2 ranked middleweight Shintaro Matsukura, #1 ranked super flyweight Jin Mandokoro, and multiple local champions / tournament winners from other Japanese kickboxing companies.
