With just one well-timed right hand, Douglas Lima has handed Michael “Venom” Page the first defeat of his career and advanced to the final round of the Bellator Welterweight Grand Prix.
In the second round of their co-main event bout at Bellator 221, Lima swept the legs of “MVP” and put him on his knees. As Page attempted to rise, Lima came forward and connected with a heavy right hand that knocked out “MVP” immediately. Lima rained down a couple of hammer fists before referee Mike Beltran stepped in and stopped the contest.

Douglas Lima now moves ahead to the final of the Bellator Welterweight Grand Prix, where he will be matched up against the winner of current champion Rory MacDonald and Neiman Gracie.
Lima recently spoke with John Hyon Ko of The Body Lock and shared that he looks forward to a rematch with MacDonald.
āIf we [him and MacDonald] meet again, itās going to be different. Itās going to be one-sided. If it happens, it happens. Iām just going to stay training. My goal is to get the belt. It doesnāt matter who has it.ā
