More UFC fighters face suspensions for marijuana tests 1

Ant Walker and Patrick Auger discuss the recently announced suspensions and fines for marijuana tests in Nevada.

Tim Elliott and Jamahal Hill tested positive for marijuana after in-competition drug tests relating to their fights on May 30 in Las Vegas.

Luis Pena’s temporary suspension has also been extended after he tested positive for marijuana after his last bout on June 27.

Walker and Auger question why the Nevada State Athletic Commission continues to suspend fighters for marijuana and ask whether the commission is genuinely looking out for the best interests of athletes.

In a recent survey conducted by The Athletic, it was found that 45.9 percent of 170 surveyed fighters currently use marijuana for either recovery or recreational purposes.
