Abdul-Malik vs. Belgaroui: A Near-Even Middleweight Clash at UFC Seattle

Mansur Abdul-Malik and Yousri Belgaroui square off in a middleweight bout on the main card of UFC Seattle this Saturday night. The fight takes place at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.

Abdul-Malik enters the fight with a record of 9-0-1. He joined the UFC in 2024 after winning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series, where he stopped Wes Schultz in round two.

Inside the octagon, Abdul-Malik has gone 3-0-1 with wins over Dusko Todorovic, Nick Klein, and Antonio Trocoli. His only blemish is a no-contest against Cody Brundage.

His most recent win came via a standing guillotine choke over Trocoli in round one. He carries a 100% finishing rate into this fight, with seven wins by KO/TKO and two by submission.

Abdul-Malik stands 6’2″ with a 79.5-inch reach. He is 28 years old and fights out of MMA Masters.

    Belgaroui’s Background and UFC Run

Yousri Belgaroui is 33 years old and stands at 6’6″ with a 79-inch reach. He hails from Tunisia and carries a record of 9-3.

He also came through Dana White’s Contender Series in 2024, though it took him two attempts to earn his UFC contract. His promotional debut came in October 2024, when he stopped Azamat Bekoev by TKO in round three.

Belgaroui has a strong striking background, having challenged Alex Pereira for a Glory Kickboxing Championship in 2018. He has won four straight fights, three of them by TKO.

The Odds and What They Tell Us

Abdul-Malik is the slight betting favorite at -130 across most books. Belgaroui sits at +110, making this one of the closer matchups on the card.

DraftKings has the over/under at 1.5 rounds, with the over priced at -215 and the under at +165. That reflects the finishing ability both men bring into the cage.

The size difference is clear — Belgaroui has a four-inch height advantage. However, Abdul-Malik actually holds the edge in reach by half an inch.

Abdul-Malik’s striking defense sits at 51%, while Belgaroui’s is 61%. Belgaroui is considered the more technical striker of the two.

One area that may decide the fight is the wrestling. Abdul-Malik has shown the ability to take fights to the ground, while Belgaroui has historically preferred to keep things standing.

This is just Belgaroui’s second UFC appearance. It is a step up in competition from his debut.

Both fighters have a combined 14 finishes between them. The over/under odds suggest bettors expect a quick night.

Abdul-Malik’s last five fights show a record of 4-0-1, while Belgaroui’s last five stand at 4-1.

Belgaroui scored his last win with a late stoppage in round three against Bekoev at a UFC Fight Night event in October 2024.
