Jose Delano enters the UFC with a 16-3 record and a four-fight win streak. He earned his contract on Dana White’s Contender Series with a unanimous decision over Manuel Exposito.

Delano is ranked the No. 4 featherweight in all of Central and South America. He stands 5-foot-8 with a 70.5-inch reach and carries a 56% finishing rate.

Robert Ruchala brings an 11-2 record into this fight. The 27-year-old Polish fighter is a former KSW champion who went 8-1 under that promotion before making the jump to the UFC.

Ruchala lost his UFC debut to William Gomis by unanimous decision in September 2025. That fight took place in Gomis’ home city of Paris, France.

The current odds have Delano at -325 and Ruchala at +260, though MMAMania lists the lines as wide as -375 and +295 depending on the sportsbook.

    Styles and Strengths

Delano is known for accurate boxing and the ability to work in combinations. He tends to use a lower stance to slip punches and generate power on his own shots.

He also finishes fights on the ground, with four KO/TKOs and five submissions on his record. His ground-and-pound, often with hammerfists, has been a key weapon.

Ruchala is solid in all areas but has looked most comfortable using takedowns. He averages 2.0 takedown attempts per 15 minutes and has shown the ability to drop opponents with hooks.

His best path in this fight may be to work behind the jab, counter Delano’s aggression, and use the fence to slow the pace.

    What the Analysts Say

Multiple analysts see value in Ruchala despite the lopsided odds. One MMAMania writer pointed out that Delano failed to finish Exposito on Contender Series, even after landing 146 significant strikes.

Ruchala has faced high-level competition outside the UFC. His last four opponents before his promotional debut carried a combined record of 36-2.

One prediction at DraftKings lists the Over 2.5 rounds at -166, suggesting many expect this fight to go past the midway point.

Both fighters carry finishing rates above 55%, making a stoppage possible in any round.

Ruchala holds a slight size edge at 5-foot-10 with a 72-inch reach versus Delano’s 5-foot-8 and 70.5-inch reach.

Delano has not fought inside the UFC octagon before, making this a true test of where he stands against established competition.

Ruchala is only 27 and still considered to be in his prime. Analysts have pointed to his championship experience in KSW as a factor that helps him in bigger fights.

Odds across sportsbooks remain consistent in listing Delano as a heavy favorite, but the gap between moneyline options suggests some market disagreement on the margin of victory.
