Jorge Masvidal vs. Nate Diaz touch gloves before UFC 244

Based on his showing against Nate Diaz, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Jorge Masvidal is a big betting favorite in a potential rematch.

Masvidal and Diaz met in the UFC 244 headliner on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, New York. And it was the former who dominated proceedings as he cut and dropped Diaz twice in their welterweight matchup and looked to be on his way to a lopsided decision.

Unfortunately, the contest came to a premature end as the doctor ruled Diaz unfit to continue before the fourth round due to a cut near his eye. However, that shouldn’t take away from Masvidal’s performance, who was clearly the better fighter in every department.

And oddsmakers certainly noticed.

When the fight was initially announced, it was a pick ’em with both fighters opening at -110. Then as fight week approached, “Gamebred” became the -175 favorite while Diaz shifted to a +145 underdog.

Now with calls for a rematch to take place, Masvidal has become an even bigger favorite.

You can see the odds below:

  • Jorge Masvidal: -300
  • Nate Diaz: +250

That means you would have to bet $300 to win $100 on Masvidal, while a $100 stake on Diaz would win you $250.
