Daniel Cormier, Chael Sonnen to feature in new ESPN+ signature MMA shows

Two new signature ESPN MMA shows will commence this week in the lead-up to UFC 264: McGregor vs. Poirier 3 on Saturday, July 10.

Ariel Helwani’s departure from ESPN marked the end of “Ariel & The Bad Guy,” with Chael Sonnen, therefore leaving the former UFC fighter without a regular spot on ESPN.

It didn’t take long for ESPN+ to rectify this, however, as they introduced Sonnen’s new dedicated MMA talk show with Jorge Sedano, titled “The Chael Sonnen Show w/Jorge Sedano,” earlier this week. The show debuted on Monday, July 5, and is currently available on-demand on ESPN+.

The Chael Sonnen Show w/Jorge Sedano essentially focuses on Sonnen’s unique takes on the most interesting stories in MMA alongside sports broadcaster and talk show host, Jorge Sedano. Two episodes of The Chael Sonnen Show w/Jorge Sedano will stream weekly.

Former two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier also felt the impact of Helwani leaving ESPN, as DC & Helwani came to an end on June 14.

Cormier’s new show, “DC & RC” will debut live from Las Vegas this Thursday, July 8. Cormier will be joined by former Super Bowl champion Ryan Clark and the pair will discuss all things MMA and other sports topics, as well. Fans can watch “DC & RC” on ESPN+ as well as the ESPN YouTube channel. The podcast version can also be downloaded on any popular podcast application.
