Over the weekend, live from the Nagoya Congress Center in Japan, a kickboxing/MMA card took place courtesy of the returning HEAT promotion. HEAT 45 featured seven kickboxing fights, topped by the legendary Jerome Le Banner, and six MMA bouts, topped by two championship fights.
Jerome Le Banner took on a tough Korean in Jun Soo Lim. The kickboxing portion of the card also featured former Le Banner foe Jairo Kusunoki, as well as Japan’s Mariya Suzuki. The lightweight champion, and RIZIN veteran, Tom Santos put his title on the line against a streaking Kyung Pyo Kim of Korea as Takeshi Kasugai looked to defend his bantamweight strap against DEEP vet Seiji Akao in an All-Japan match-up.
