Dave Leduc def. Seth Baczynski via second-round TKO

August 2 marked the biggest night in Lethwei history, as WLC: King of Nine Limbs took place in Mandalay, Myanmar.

In the main event of the evening, “The King of Lethwei” Dave Leduc dismantled UFC veteran Seth Baczynski in less than five minutes to pick up the vacant WLC cruiserweight title.

From the opening bell, Leduc was relaxed, landing hooks on the competitor from mixed martial arts. Baczynski was dropped twice in the opening round and was struggling to match the pace of undefeated Lethwei sensation.

Leduc did not slow down and dropped his opponent with a sharp elbow in the second round before Baczynski waved off the contest himself. Despite not coming out on top, “The Polish Pistola” came to win and showed a ton of heart.

In the co-main event, Muay Thai star Sasha Moisa defeated Artur Saladiak over the course of five rounds to claim the WLC Light Middleweight Championship.

In the first round, Moisa was able to drop the champion twice but was unable to score a third knockdown which would have resulted in a TKO victory. He dictated the course of the fight with his fast hands and precise kicks, claiming the light middleweight title with a comfortable unanimous decision win.

Souris Manfredi was able to use her physicality and combat sports experience to handle Cambodian Eh Yanut, who went into the bout as the favorite. The story of the fight was the brutal elbows from the clinch that damaged Yanut profoundly. These elbows were a key factor as to why she walked away with the unanimous decision victory.
