Raoni Barcelos is awake and undergoing medical testing at a hospital following a frightening knockout loss at UFC Vegas 121 on Saturday night. Sources confirmed to Cageside Press that the Brazilian bantamweight is at least partially moving while doctors run further tests.
Barcelon was stretchered out of the octagon after being knocked out by Raul Rosas Jr. in the fifth round of their main event bout. Medical staff were seen checking his pulse as he lay motionless on the canvas with labored breathing.
The knockout came after Rosas secured a takedown in the final round. Barcelos appeared dazed immediately after hitting the mat, and Rosas landed only one weak hammerfist before backing away.
Barcelon underwent a CT scan at the hospital according to a report by Ariel Helwani. He remained hospitalized while medical staff conducted additional testing.

Rosas Rallies From Behind to Win
The scary finish came after nearly five rounds of intense action between the two bantamweights. Barcelos was winning the fight on all three judges’ scorecards heading into the final round, with each judge scoring it 3-1 in his favor.
