Carli Judice scored a devastating first-round knockout victory over Jeisla Chaves at UFC Fight Night 285 on Saturday at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. The women’s flyweight bout ended at the 1:39 mark of the opening round when Judice landed a straight kick to the body that immediately dropped her opponent.

Chaves entered the fight with a perfect 7-0 professional record and had won her UFC debut in her previous appearance. Judice came into the contest riding a three-fight winning streak and had earned two post-fight bonuses during that stretch.

The Brazilian fighter Chaves started the fight aggressively, working kicks and countering Judice’s forward pressure. Both women landed strikes repeatedly during the first minute and a half, with Chaves appearing to have a slight edge in power while Judice showed superior speed.

    The Fight-Ending Moment

The fight changed instantly when Judice’s body kick connected with Chaves’ midsection. Chaves crumpled to the canvas immediately after the strike landed, and the referee quickly stepped in to stop the fight as she covered up on the ground.

Judice followed up with a series of punches before the referee waved off the contest. The finish improved Judice’s professional record to 7-2 overall and 4-1 inside the UFC.

Chaves suffered her first career defeat, moving to 8-1 as a professional and 1-1 in the UFC. The Brazilian had looked to build momentum after winning her promotional debut but was unable to handle Judice’s striking power.

    Judice Eyes Top 15 Ranking

In her post-fight interview with Michael Bisping, Judice expressed her excitement about the victory and her future goals. “This is a freaking dream,” Judice said. “It couldn’t have gone any better.”

Judice made it clear she wants to face ranked competition next. “I want top 15 next,” she stated. “Give me a shot at that. I want to fight more.”

The victory marked Judice’s fourth consecutive win since losing her UFC debut. She originally earned her UFC contract after competing on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023, where she received a deal despite losing her fight on the show.

With four straight victories and three finishes in her last four fights, Judice has positioned herself as a rising contender in the women’s flyweight division. The 125-pound weight class may soon see Judice crack the top 15 rankings based on her recent performance.

The fight was the second bout on the UFC Sacramento main card, which streamed live on Paramount+. The event featured fighters across multiple weight classes competing at the home arena of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings.

Judice’s winning streak now includes four consecutive UFC victories, with her striking ability proving to be serious business in the flyweight division. Her ability to finish fights has made her a name to watch moving forward in the 125-pound weight class.
