Amanda Nunes, left, fights Valentina Shevchenko during UFC 215

Women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko is set for another title defense. This time, she faces Liz Carmouche in the UFC Uruguay headliner on August 10 and as has been the case in recent fights, she will be a heavy betting favorite.

Given the lack of depth in the recently-unveiled 125-pound division, it’s only natural that many fighters are not close to Shevchenko’s level. “The Bullet” is yet to be properly tested since moving down to her natural weight class last year, most recently knocking out Jessica Eye at UFC 238 last month. But Carmouche will be looking to change that.

Carmouche headlined opposite Ronda Rousey for the bantamweight title in the UFC’s first-ever women’s fight back in 2013. That was a while ago, however, and six years on, the 35-year-old has gone 5-3 since. She is currently on a two-fight win streak, with victories over Jennifer Maia and Lucie Pudilova.

But despite her experience, she remains a big underdog.

The opening odds for Shevchenko vs. Carmouche are as follows:

  • Valentina Shevchenko: -600
  • Liz Carmouche: +400

That means a $100 bet on Carmouche would give you $400 in return, while you would need to stake $600 on Shevchenko to earn $100.
