Stephen Thompson kicks Vicente Luque at UFC 244

Oddsmakers can’t seem to pick between Stephen Thompson and Geoff Neal.

The pair will collide in an intriguing and pivotal ranked welterweight bout that will headline the UFC Vegas 17 card tonight. When the fight was first announced, “Wonderboy” was only a slight -115 favorite over the -105 Neal.

And it remains tight with just hours to go for the event as the fight is a pick ’em across a wide range of oddsmakers who have it from -105 to -111. That means you would have to bet $105 to win $100 on either fighter.

However, a few oddsmakers have Thompson as a slight +100 underdog which means a $100 stake on the former title challenger would earn you a profit of $100.

As clearly indicated above, it’s a very close fight which can go either way. However, it’s well worth putting some action on Thompson showing that he is still very much in title contention.

Here are the opening odds for the pair’s last few fights:

Stephen Thompson last five fights

  • vs. Anthony Pettis (L): -285
  • vs. Darren Till (L): -165
