UFC 276 Fight Card: Adesanya vs. Cannonier, Volkanovski vs. Holloway

    Jake NicholsBy Jake NicholsJune 25, 2022Updated:June 29, 2022No Comments3 Mins Read

One of the biggest UFC pay-per-view events of the year takes place on Saturday, July 2, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The UFC 276 fight card will feature two title fights and is stacked with incredible fights from start to finish. The event is a UFC PPV event and that means the only way to watch every fight live is by ordering the event on the ESPN+ website.

In the main event, Israel Adesanya will defend the UFC Middleweight Championship against Jared Cannonier. Adesanya has defended the title four times since beating Robert Whittaker in October 2019, with his most recent victories including another win against Whittaker and Marvin Vettori. Jared Cannonier gets his shot at the title following consecutive victories against Derek Brunson and Kelvin Gastelum.

A fantastic trilogy bout will serve as the UFC 276 co-main event on July 2. Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski is tasked with defeating former champion Max Holloway a third time when the two meet in a five-round title fight. Volkanovski defeated Holloway in 2019 to claim the featherweight title before defending against Holloway in 2020. The Australian champion has since defeated “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung and Brian Ortega.

Holloway again earned the right to challenge for the featherweight title after scoring unanimous decision victories against Yair Rodriguez and Calvin Kattar in 2021.
