A fierce rivalry is set to headline this weekend’s UFC 272 PPV fight card in Las Vegas, Nevada when Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal clash in a welterweight battle.
The five-round battle will feature as the main event after two title fights were postponed to UFC 273. Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway were originally scheduled to fight this weekend but that fight was moved after a Holloway injury. Aljamain Sterling vs. Petr Yan was also expected to happen at UFC 272 this weekend but that fight was also moved to the next PPV event.
Covington, the #1 ranked welterweight, steps back into the Octagon after another defeat to the champion Kamaru Usman in November. Masvidal, too, returns after consecutive defeats against Kamaru Usman.
The UFC 272 fight card features several exciting matchups including Rafael dos Anjos vs. Renato Moicano, Edson Barboza vs. Bryce Mitchell, Kevin Holland vs. Alex Oliveira, and more.
