UFC 271 Fight Card: When is Israel Adesanya vs. Robert Whittaker 2? 1

A UFC Middleweight Championship rematch will feature as the headline bout for this weekend’s UFC 271 fight card in Houston, Texas.

Israel Adesanya will clash with Robert Whittaker in a long-awaited rematch that will determine who leaves with the middleweight title. Adesanya vs. Whittaker 2 is the main event bout and will air only on ESPN+ in the United States. Fans can order the UFC 271 PPV here to watch the title fight and all other fights live on Saturday night.

Whittaker gets his second shot at defeating Adesanya after being knocked out in the first fight back at UFC 243 in October 2019. He’s since made improvements and defeated Kelvin Gastelum, Jared Cannonier, and Darren Till to earn a chance to reclaim the title.

Adesanya’s since defended the title three times, beating Yoel Romero, Paulo Costa, and also Marvin Vettori. In March 2021, however, Adesanya experienced his first defeat as a mixed martial artist when he lost to Jan Blachowicz in a UFC Light Heavyweight Championship fight.

The UFC 271 fight card also features a brilliant clash between two hard-hitting heavyweight fighters, Derrick Lewis and Tai Tuivasa.
