Stipe Miocic punches Daniel Cormier at UFC 241

With just a few days to go for UFC 252, it appears the money is on Daniel Cormier winning the trilogy with Stipe Miocic — but only slightly.

The pair will settle their rivalry for the heavyweight title this Saturday in what promises to be a monumental affair. The score is currently tied at one apiece with the winner likely cementing their place as the greatest heavyweight in UFC history.

When the trilogy was initially booked, oddsmakers saw it as a pick ’em fight that could go either way with both fighters listed with -110 odds.

However, Cormier is a slight favorite now with odds ranging from -110 to -127 according to various oddsmakers. Miocic, meanwhile, ranges from +102 to -110 as an underdog.

That means you would have to bet $127 to win $100 on Cormier, while a $100 stake on Miocic would net you $102 in profit.

It’s not all that surprising either.

While Miocic did win their last outing, Cormier was dominating the majority of the contest and also won their first meeting via first-round knockout. With this being his last-ever fight in mixed martial arts along with the event taking place in the smaller Apex Octagon, many observers would give the edge to Cormier who notably plans to use his wrestling more.

That said, Miocic is more than capable of winning the trilogy and that’s highlighted by just how close these odds are.

Here are the opening odds for the pair’s last five fights:
