Oddsmakers are leaning toward Beneil Dariush as he calls for a rumored fight with Charles Oliveira in May.
Following UFC 280, Charles Oliveira has settled back into the #1 contender spot, having lost his unofficial place as the division’s best. On the same night, Beniel Dariush brought Mateusz Gamrot to a unanimous decision where he won decisively.
Now on an eight-fight win streak, Dariush has set himself up for a title shot in the near future and believes a win over Oliveira will finally get him there. Odds would predict he has a good chance of doing so too!
Dariush has opened as a -120 favorite over Oliveira, who sits as a +100 underdog. While the bout has not been officially announced yet, it looks promising so expect the line to shift slightly as it develops.
Right now, it will cost $120 to win $100 in profit on Dariush and $100 on Oliveira to return another $100.
The line is understandably close as both men may possess the best jiu-jitsu in the 155lb division, on top of knockout power and ever-evolving striking games. This makes for an incredible style clash that is difficult to call.
