Anthony Joshua’s team has released an AI-generated video mocking Tyson Fury ahead of their expected November showdown. The video suggests Fury should prepare for a visit from ‘The Landlord,’ one of Joshua’s nicknames.
The social media post from Matchroom Boxing came shortly after Fury completed his second warm-up fight since returning from retirement. Fury stopped Mariusz Wach in the seventh round during a fight in Thailand on Friday.
Usyk Praises Fury for Helping Former Sparring Partner
Former undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk shared his thoughts on Fury’s performance against Wach. Usyk revealed that Wach was his former sparring partner and knows him well.
“I know Mariusz, he was my sparring partner. Yes [he’s a big man]. Greedy belly, [did] good,” Usyk told Boxing King Media. “I say Greedy thank you, because Tyson help Mariusz [make] money.”
Usyk defeated Fury twice in 2024, first by split decision in May to become undisputed champion, then by unanimous decision in their December rematch. Those losses sent Fury into retirement before he returned to the ring in April.
Fury’s comeback fight in April was a one-sided points victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov. The win over Wach marks his second fight since coming back and sets up the long-awaited clash with Joshua.

Joshua Recovers From Knockdowns to Stay on Track
Joshua had his own warm-up bout on Saturday night against Kristian Prenga. The fight nearly went wrong early when Joshua hit the canvas twice in the first round.
However, Joshua recovered quickly and knocked out Prenga in the second round. The comeback performance kept him on track for the Fury fight scheduled for November.
Usyk is currently training alongside Joshua, which adds an interesting element to the upcoming match. The Ukrainian knows both fighters well from his time in the ring with Fury and his ongoing relationship with Joshua’s camp.
The Fury versus Joshua fight has been years in the making. Both men were heavyweight champions at the same time but could never agree on terms for a fight.
Fury decided to take the Wach fight in Thailand as additional preparation after his April return. The bout was described as uneventful but straightforward, with Fury forcing Wach’s retirement after seven rounds.
Joshua’s team appears confident heading into the November showdown, as evidenced by their social media taunts. The ‘Landlord’ video is part of the psychological warfare building up to the fight.
Both fighters are now expected to begin serious training camps for their November meeting. The fight will finally answer the question of who is the better British heavyweight after years of speculation.
The match-up between Fury and Joshua is set to be one of the biggest fights in British boxing history. Both men have held multiple heavyweight titles and have millions of fans around the world.
Usyk’s involvement with Joshua’s camp means he can provide valuable insight into Fury’s style and weaknesses. The former undisputed champion remains the only man to defeat Fury in professional boxing.
