The UFC is changing its weigh-in format for UFC 329, with CBS broadcasting a special prime time show on Friday night featuring Conor McGregor and Max Holloway.
The hour-long special titled ‘UFC: McGregor vs. Holloway’ will air on CBS this Friday, July 10, at 9 p.m. ET. The program will showcase ceremonial weigh-ins for the main and co-main events, breaking from the promotion’s typical format.
New Format for Las Vegas Event
For Las Vegas cards, the UFC normally holds official weigh-ins at Meta Apex at 9 a.m. local time. Ceremonial weigh-ins usually take place later in the day at T-Mobile Arena and are open to the public.
For UFC 329, the main and co-main event ceremonial weigh-ins will instead be broadcast separately as part of the CBS prime time special. The show will feature appearances from Conor McGregor, Max Holloway, Paddy Pimblett, and Benoit Saint Denis.
UFC CEO Dana White will also make an appearance during the broadcast. McGregor will receive his own separate sit-down interview as part of the program.

McGregor’s Return After Five Years
UFC 329 will stream on Paramount+ on July 11 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The event marks the first appearance from McGregor in roughly five years.
McGregor’s first fight against Holloway ended in a unanimous decision victory for ‘Notorious’ in summer 2013. A lot has changed since that initial meeting over a decade ago.
‘Conor’s in fantastic shape,’ said coach Julian Dalby. ‘I’ve never seen him look so good before.’
Dalby expressed confidence in McGregor’s current condition heading into the rematch. ‘Combining Conor’s accuracy with the power that he has now, he’s unstoppable,’ the coach added.
The CBS special represents an unusual approach for the UFC in promoting a major fight card. Network television exposure typically provides a larger audience than the promotion’s standard weigh-in broadcasts.
The partnership with CBS for this special broadcast comes as McGregor makes his long-awaited return to the octagon. His last appearance was roughly five years ago, making this comeback one of the most anticipated in recent UFC history.
