Charles Oliveira shared a cryptic message on social media days before his UFC 326 fight against Max Holloway, raising questions about his mindset heading into the March 7 bout. The Brazilian fighter posted on X that he lives “in a crazy world, full of people who take advantage of others and are envious… Bad people.”

Oliveira added that he remains confident “GOD IS MORE in my life,” suggesting he has moved past whatever incident prompted the post. The exact details of what upset the fighter remain unclear.

    Title Shot Awaits Winner

Despite the emotional distraction, Oliveira said a victory over Holloway at UFC 326 will put him next in line for a lightweight title shot. The Brazilian expects to face the winner of a planned June matchup between champion Ilia Topuria and interim champion Justin Gaethje.

The fight takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with the main card starting at 9 PM ET. Holloway will defend his BMF title against the No. 3 ranked Oliveira in what marks a rematch 10 years in the making.

Their first meeting in 2015 ended in a first-round TKO victory for Holloway at featherweight. Now both fighters compete at lightweight, where Holloway moved after years dominating the featherweight division.

Oliveira has built a reputation for charity work in his hometown, including toy and food distribution drives. His positive personality both inside and outside the octagon has earned him a loyal fan base throughout his UFC career.

    Fighters Ready for Highlight Moment

Holloway has made a signature move of calling for “stand and bang” exchanges in the final seconds of fights. He famously used this tactic against Justin Gaethje, finishing the fight with a striking display in the last 10 seconds.

When asked if he would accept a similar challenge from Holloway at UFC 326, Oliveira made his intentions clear. “It doesn’t matter, I’ll be there,” he told RMC Sports Combat.

“That’s why I break people mentally. I don’t run from a fight, I seek it out,” Oliveira said. “I’m hunting the whole time. It makes no difference to me.”

The Brazilian fighter ranks No. 3 in the lightweight division while Holloway sits at No. 4. Holloway previously defended the BMF title against Dustin Poirier at UFC 318 in a five-round battle.

The UFC 326 card features other fights including Caio Borralho versus Reinier de Ridder at middleweight and Renato Moicano versus Brian Ortega at lightweight. The early prelims begin at 5 PM ET with the event available on Paramount+.

Oliveira’s willingness to engage in striking battles could set up an exciting rematch with Holloway. Both fighters have shown they’re willing to create memorable moments inside the octagon.

The winner of UFC 326’s main event will likely move closer to another shot at the lightweight championship. For Oliveira, it would mark another opportunity to reclaim the title he once held before losing it on the scales due to a weight miss.
