Former UFC fighter Holly Holm has said she is open to a rematch with Ronda Rousey, more than a decade after their first fight. The 44-year-old made the comments during an interview with Ariel Helwani ahead of her boxing match against Stephanie Han.
“I’ve always been open to a rematch with her since the day the fight was over,” Holm said on The Ariel Helwani Show. “So if she wants a rematch, I’m game, anytime.”
Holm’s comments come just days after Rousey made her MMA comeback against Gina Carano under Jake Paul’s MVP promotion. The timing has sparked fresh talk about a possible second meeting between the two fighters.

The First Fight Changed Everything
Holm handed Rousey her first-ever UFC loss in their original bout approximately 10 years ago. That defeat marked a turning point in Rousey’s career.
Rousey went on to lose another fight against Amanda Nunes before stepping away from MMA. She then focused her attention on pro-wrestling instead of continuing her mixed martial arts career.
Holm has since returned to her roots in boxing after her own UFC career. She recently lost to Stephanie Han in a boxing match.
Rousey Claims She’s a Better Fighter Now
Rousey has also expressed interest in facing Holm again and believes she would win a rematch. Speaking on the Up and Adams show following her recent retirement bout, Rousey explained why she thinks things would be different.
“I said I’m retired, A and B, I think that I am a completely different fighter now,” Rousey said. “I would clean her clock and definitely now that I got that new medication.”
Rousey revealed she was diagnosed with cortical spreading depression, a condition that affected her performance in her final fights. She said the condition made her think her concussions were catching up to her, which led to her decision to stop fighting.
“I took it before. I was diagnosed with cortical spreading depression, which was always happening in my last fights and basically why I was like I need to stop,” Rousey explained. “I thought my concussions were catching up to me.”
Rousey now says her new medication has addressed this medical issue. She believes this would make her a stronger competitor than she was during their first encounter.
Both fighters have now publicly stated their willingness to face each other again. Holm has maintained that position since their original fight ended years ago.
