    TLDR

    • Alex Pereira has challenged Jon Jones to fight at the UFC’s White House card planned for June 2025
    • Pereira made his latest callout while visiting the Colosseum in Rome, repeating his message: “Jon Jones. White House. Chama”
    • Jones previously stated a fight with Pereira would be “the biggest of all time” and has shown interest in the matchup
    • The White House event has no confirmed fights yet, with UFC CEO Dana White stating fighter selection remains open
    • Tom Aspinall currently holds the UFC heavyweight title after Jones retired, creating questions about title implications for any Jones-Pereira fight

Alex Pereira has made his intentions clear. The UFC light heavyweight champion wants Jon Jones at the White House.

Pereira recently called out Jones while standing in front of the Colosseum in Rome. The Brazilian fighter kept his message simple and direct, saying “Jon Jones. White House. Chama.”

This marks the second time Pereira has challenged Jones in recent weeks. His first callout came about a month ago through a social media video with influencer Nina Drama.

The UFC is planning a card at the White House for June 14, 2025. No fights have been officially announced for the event yet.

UFC CEO Dana White has confirmed that planning is underway. Venue renderings have been released, but fighter selection has not begun.

Pereira is currently in his second reign as light heavyweight champion. He defeated Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 320 to reclaim the title.

The 37-year-old Brazilian has become a two-division champion in the UFC. He previously held the middleweight title before moving up to light heavyweight.

Jones has also expressed interest in facing Pereira. Earlier this year, he called a potential matchup “the biggest of all time.”

However, White has shown some caution about relying on Jones for the White House card. The UFC CEO cited Jones’ history of withdrawals and scheduling issues.

    Jon Jones’ Current Status

Jones retired from the sport this summer after defending his heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic. He moved up from light heavyweight in 2023 and defeated Ciryl Gane to win the vacant heavyweight belt at UFC 285.

The 38-year-old is widely considered one of the greatest fighters in MMA history. He held the light heavyweight title for most of his career before moving to heavyweight.

Jones does not currently hold a UFC title following his retirement. Tom Aspinall was promoted to undisputed heavyweight champion after Jones stepped away.

    White House Card Details

The White House event is expected to feature top-level fighters. Many UFC athletes have expressed interest in competing at the historic venue.

The UFC currently has only two American-born champions: Kayla Harrison and Mackenzie Dern. There are no guaranteed American title challengers lined up either.

Jones could provide major star power for the event despite not holding a championship. A fight with Pereira would draw massive interest from fans worldwide.

Joe Rogan: Alex Pereira vs. Jon Jones should be for the BMF title at #UFC White House
Jon Jones vs. Alex Pereira would be the biggest fight in human history. You have the greatest of all time with Jon Jones, and arguably the most destructive striker that's ever competed." pic.twitter.com/8vyoYEIuVq

Aspinall’s situation adds complexity to potential plans. His first title defense against Gane ended in the first round due to an accidental eye poke last month.

Any fight between Jones and Pereira would likely take place at heavyweight. Pereira has competed at light heavyweight throughout his recent UFC run.

A matchup between the two champions would represent a meeting of different eras. Jones built his legacy over more than a decade, while Pereira has risen quickly through the UFC ranks.

Pereira continues to push for the fight publicly. His recent callout at the Colosseum demonstrates his commitment to making the matchup happen at the White House.
