Israel Adesanya of Nigeria punches Anderson Silva of Brazil during their Middleweight bout during UFC234

Israel Adesanya believes he has superior striking to Robert Whittaker — and so, he’s daring “The Reaper” to try and take him down.

The pair will collide in their middleweight title unification fight that takes place October 5 in Melbourne for UFC 243.

The buildup has certainly been heated between the two. One just needs to look at all the past things that have been said, although most of it has come from Adesanya. The latest comes from “The Last Stylebender” as well, as he issued a challenge to Whittaker.

“Fucking, Rob, shoot on me,” Adesanya said on Submission Radio. “Please, come on. No one’s got me down and kept me down. You’ve done it to [Yoel] Romero, you might be the one. I advise him to shoot on me. Try to keep me down.”

Adesanya went one step further by breaking down Whittaker’s striking blueprint. Despite revealing it, he still expects to emerge victorious come fight night.

“If not, strike with me,” Adesanya added. “Do your little one-one, two, and then throw your right high kick. Do your little oblique kick. Fucking hell. What else? He’s good with the left hook, and that’s one thing, no one’s ever… (laughs) ah fuck it, no one ever makes him check the left hook.

“No one ever makes him check (it). I’ll give him the blueprint and I’ll still whoop his ass. No one ever makes him respect the left hook like that. No one ever makes him hesitate with the left hook. Fucking hell. Just, I advise him to shoot. I won’t Jorge Masvidal him, but I advise him to shoot. Straight up shoot, then wrestle fuck me. Come (motions with hand).”
