This morning, live from Tokyo, Japan, Pancrase returned with three title fights atop their fantastic Pancrase 307 fight card.
In the co-main event, Brazilian submission-ace and Bellator veteran Rafael Silva looked to defend his bantamweight title yet again, this time against Japanese knockout-artist Yuto Hokamura. Also, two streaking flyweight fighters in Shohei Masumizu and Masatatsu Ueda battled for interim gold.
That’s far from all this card had to offer, however.
The main event saw Pancrase legend Mitsuhisa Sunabe return to the cage this morning! Despite coming off an absolutely brutal knockout loss in RIZIN, the 39-year-old had won an insane 16-straight beforehand. Majority of those bouts took place in Pancrase. The longtime strawweight champion returned to the promotion for the first time in fifteen months this morning, as he defended his title against Daichi Kitakata. In 2016, Sunabe successfully defended his strawweight championship against Kitakata with a second-round submission.
Even without the three title fights, Pancrase 307 was a solid card on-paper.
22-year-old Satoshi DATE returned looking to snap a five-fight skid against Katsuyuki Hironaka, TRIBE TOKYO’s Joji Goto faced 46-year-old veteran Junichi Hirata, 5‘1 sparkplug Bokang Masunyane of South Korea debuted against Yusuke Ogikubo, and so much more, including the return of Japanese boxing star Raika Emiko!
