Colbey Northcutt signs with ONE Championship

A second Northcutt is headed overseas to ONE Championship.

Colbey Northcutt, sister of Sage Northcutt, announced her signing with ONE via Instagram on Nov. 1.

In the post, Northcutt said she will make her debut with the promotion on Nov. 22 at ONE: Edge of Greatness, which takes place in Singapore.

Northcutt sports a professional MMA record of 0-1-0. She made her professional debut on June 23, 2017, at LFA 14, where she lost by third-round TKO to Courtney King.

Prior to turning pro, the bantamweight fighter competed as an amateur from Oct. 2012 to July 2014. In that time, she earned a record of 4-1-0 with three of her wins coming via guillotine choke, according to Sherdog’s database.

The move sees Colbey follow in the footsteps of her brother Sage, who joined the promotion in November of 2018.

Sage Northcutt and the UFC did not come to terms on a new contract despite him ending his UFC tenure on a three-fight winning streak. He then went on to make his ONE debut at ONE: Enter the Dragon on May 17.

Fighting kickboxing veteran Cosmo Alexandre, Northcutt was knocked out in just 29 seconds — the first knockout loss of his professional career.

Northcutt suffered severe facial injuries and was forced immediately into surgery following his loss. He has not competed for ONE since or provided a timetable for a potential return.

As for Colbey, no opponent has been announced at this time, but she joins a card that already has eight bouts, featuring both MMA and Muay Thai.
