Christian Lee hammers Edward Kelly with ground and pound at ONE Championship Eternal Glory

Christian Lee has done it again.

The 20-year-old phenom dominated Edward Kelly at ONE Championship: Eternal Glory to secure a TKO finish at the 2:53 mark of the first round.

After an initial exchange of strikes to start the contest, Lee landed flush with a heavy left high kick. Then, Lee proceeded to wrap up the neck of Kelly and used his grip to drag his opponent to the mat.

Similar to what we’ve seen from Lee in the past, he used the front headlock position to wrap up a modified guillotine choke. Kelly rolled to his back and almost gave up full mount to Lee, but was able to slide in a butterfly hook to create some separation and survive the submission attempt.

Lee abandoned the guillotine choke attempt to move into full mount. Pressing his hips down into the lower torso of Kelly, Lee was able to stick Kelly to the mat and commence a brutal ground and pound assault.

When the United MMA fighter began to rain down countless elbows and punches to the head of Kelly, it started to look more like a local butcher tenderizing a cut of cheap steak.

The ground and pound forced the referee to stop in and put an end to the contest.

Christian Lee’s win moved him to 11-3 and helped to ‘erase’ the prior disqualification loss to Kelly from his record. He’s now won two consecutive fights and is making another strong push back to a featherweight title challenge.

The victory also helped maintain Lee’s remarkable 100% finishing rate, with

Edward Kelly falls to 11-6 after the defeat and the Team Lakay fighter has now lost three of his last five contests.
