RISE World Series 2019: Final Round Results - Tenshin Nasukawa, Taiju Shiratori victorious 1

This morning, Japan-based kickboxing organization RISE touched down in Chiba, Japan with a stacked RISE World Series 2019: Final Round fight card. At the top of the billing, two tournament finals. At -61kg, Taiju Shiratori faced Japanese muay thai specialist Genji Umeno, and at -58kg, undefeated phenom Tenshin Nasukawa took on another up-and-coming prospect in the form of Shiro.

Outside of the tournament finals, RISE World Series 2019: Final Round featured a plethora of other fantastic fighters and spectacular match-ups.

In a RISE champion vs. champion fight, -53kg title-holder Toki Tamaru faced -55kg king Masahiko Suzuki. Road to RIZIN KICK tournament winner Kento Haraguchi faced -61kg tournament semi-finalist Changhyeong Lee, -58kg tournament semi-finalist and muay thai supernova Suakim faced RIZIN veteran Nikita Sapun, after a recent knockout win over Taiga in RIZIN, Thalisson Gomes Ferreira returned as well to take on Yoshihisa Marimoto.

RISE champ BeyNoah faced a familiar foe who defeated him by sick knockout last time out in non-title action in the form of Tapruwan Hadesworkout. Though many more fights that I’ve yet to mention, the night also featured the return of Tenshin’s teenage sister as Riri Nasukawa faced Mari Kamikariya.

In Japan, the event can be watched on Abema TV. Outside of Japan, per usual, the conclusion of the RISE World Series 2019 can be seen exclusively on FITE TV. Check out the full results below!
