K-1 KRUSH FIGHT 104 Results 1

Five weeks ago, K-1 KRUSH FIGHT 103 took over the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo with a stacked show featuring a six-bout Japan vs. China series. China went on to win that mini-series, capped off with a massive upset as Zhu Shuai knocked former champ Koya Urabe out cold early. Now, returning to the same venue, K-1 Japan has put forth an equally fantastic offering with K-1 KRUSH FIGHT 104.

Topped by two title fights, this morning’s kickboxing action was headed by a super lightweight title bout as current champion Hayato Suzuki (7-2-1) looked to defend his crown against the ultra-experienced former RISE champ Yasuomi Soda (26-8). The co-main event was a cruiserweight championship tournament final that saw Keiji (17-9) take on Rui (12-7-1) in a surefire firefight.

Other notables on the card were Josefine Knutsson (28-4) of Sweden, who defeated Krush champ Kana back in March and former bantamweight champ Akihiro Kaneko (8-0) as he makes his first super bantamweight appearance. He relinquished his Krush bantamweight title last year and was set to compete in the latest Krush Super Bantamweight Grand-Prix and had to pull out of the tournament with a hand injury, despite being one of the top-seeded participants.
