    DEEP 92 Impact Results

Mike SkytteBy Mike SkytteOctober 22, 2019No Comments2 Mins Read

In the second part of this morning’s DEEP double-header at Korakuen Hall, DEEP 92 Impact went down this morning following the great DEEP JEWELS 26 show.

Now it’s time for the men to show out much like the women did, capped off by Tomo Maesawa’s title defense.

In the night’s main event, 24-year-old stud Koji Takeda looked to make the first defense of his DEEP lightweight title following the first loss of his career at RIZIN 15. He took on Juri Ohara, a near-40-fight veteran who Takeda defeated in 2018 to earn a shot at Satoru Kitaoka’s lightweight championship.

In the co-main event, one of Japanese MMA’s most well-travelled journeymen competed as 43-year-old UFC, PRIDE, Shooto, and DREAM veteran Michihiro Omigawa returned against Akihiko Mori. Also on the card; DEEP welterweight king Ryuichiro Sumimura faced Yoshitomo Watanabe in non-title action, noted action-hero Shoji Maruyama returned against Makoto Kamaya, cult-favorite Kosuke “Rambo” Suzuki faced Chikara Shimabukuro, and two-division DEEP title-challenger Koichi Ishizuka returned.

Check out the full results from DEEP 92 Impact below!
