Tyson Fury has shared his reaction after watching Anthony Joshua get knocked down twice during what was supposed to be an easy warm-up fight on Saturday.

Joshua faced Kristian Prenga in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in preparation for his planned showdown with Fury later this year. The fight nearly ended in disaster for the former champion.

Prenga knocked Joshua down twice in the first round, shocking fans who expected a straightforward victory. The knockdowns raised serious questions about whether the highly anticipated Fury-Joshua fight would even happen.

Joshua managed to recover in the second round and knocked out Prenga to secure the win. The victory prevented what would have been one of the biggest upsets in recent boxing history.

    Fury’s Social Media Response

Fury commented on highlights of the fight posted by Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh on Instagram. His response was brief but expressed clear shock at what he witnessed.

“Wow, wtf 🤬” Fury wrote under the video. The comment suggested concern that his planned fight with Joshua almost fell apart before it could be finalized.

Fury is expected to provide more detailed comments in the coming days. He will likely reference past statements questioning Joshua’s ability to take a punch.

The Gypsy King had completed his own warm-up fight just 24 hours earlier in Thailand. He defeated Mariusz Wach by seventh-round retirement in what was described as an uneventful contest.

Both fighters were supposed to have easy victories before turning their full attention to each other. Fury’s fight went according to plan, but Joshua’s nearly ended his championship aspirations.

    November Fight Still Planned

Despite the scare, both British heavyweights are still expected to face each other in November. The fight has been discussed for years but has never materialized until now.

Fans hoping to see the fight in the United Kingdom may be disappointed. Madison Square Garden in New York is currently the leading candidate to host the contest.

The venue choice means two British former world heavyweight champions may have to travel to America for their long-awaited battle. No official announcement about the location has been made yet.

Some boxing experts have raised concerns about Joshua’s performance against Prenga. One top trainer stated that Joshua looked “shot to bits” during the fight.

The knockdowns have led to questions about whether Joshua can compete at the highest level. His chin has been questioned before after losses to Andy Ruiz Jr. and others.

Fury will likely use Saturday’s performance as ammunition in the pre-fight buildup. The rivalry between the two British heavyweights has intensified over the years.

Joshua’s team has not yet commented publicly on the performance or Fury’s reaction. They will need to address concerns about his durability before the November fight.

The fight between Fury and Joshua is expected to be one of the biggest boxing events of the year. Both fighters are former world champions looking to reclaim their position at the top of the heavyweight division.
