Darren Till has received strong support from a prominent bare-knuckle fighter ahead of his upcoming clash with Yoel Romero at BKFC 94. Dan Podmore, a former multi-division BKB champion, told Bare Knuckle Bowker he expects Till to handle Romero when they meet in England on September 26th.

Podmore watched Till’s bare-knuckle debut firsthand at BKFC 90 in Birmingham. The former UFC middleweight stopped Aaron Chalmers in that fight despite getting knocked down early in the bout.

    Podmore’s Assessment Of Romero’s Challenge

The BKB champion acknowledged that Romero presents a unique challenge for Till. “He’s the old man that defies all the odds, and he’s still doing things that old men shouldn’t be doing,” Podmore said, according to BJ Penn.

Podmore expressed curiosity about how the Cuban fighter continues to perform at a high level. “He’s fighting and training like he’s in his mid-30s. It’s going to be interesting to see,” he added.

Despite Romero’s abilities, Podmore maintains confidence in Till’s chances. His prediction comes with inside knowledge of Till’s preparation for the fight.

Positive Reports From Till’s Training Camp

The sparring sessions produced encouraging feedback about Till’s readiness. “They said he’s very good,” Podmore revealed about the reports he received from his gym’s fighters.

These training observations appear to have strengthened Podmore’s belief in Till’s ability to defeat Romero. The firsthand accounts from sparring partners give Podmore insight into Till’s current form.
