Dillian Whyte has accepted a challenge from Johnny Fisher and promises to stop the undefeated heavyweight inside four rounds. The Brixton fighter was watching from ringside at the Copper Box Arena in London on Saturday night when Fisher struggled to a majority decision victory over Michael Pirotton.
Whyte is looking to return to the ring following his knockout loss to Moses Itauma last August. He told Sky Sports that Fisher has been calling him out for some time and he is ready to accept the fight.
“Johnny Fisher has been calling me out for a while. He wants to fight me. I’m well up for that fight,” Whyte said. “I knock Johnny Fisher out. It’s heavyweight boxing, anything can happen.”

Whyte Confident Despite Recent Loss
The 38-year-old heavyweight acknowledged his recent setback but remains confident in his abilities. “I could get caught high on the head like I did last time out, but I’ll knock Johnny Fisher out,” Whyte stated.
Whyte predicted the fight would not last long. “I’ll be surprised if it goes past three or four rounds. I’m an ageing dog but I still have all of my teeth.”
The veteran fighter has wins over Joseph Parker and Alexander Povetkin on his record. He analyzed Fisher’s fighting style and identified clear weaknesses he believes he can exploit.
“He’s a bit erratic and he’s open in lots of areas but he’s dangerous,” Whyte explained. “He’s swinging big punches, a big man, and he hits hard so yeah, I think it would be an exciting fight while it lasts.”
Whyte pointed to Fisher’s overhand right as his main weapon. However, he emphasized his experience fighting top-level opponents throughout his career.
Expert Warns Fight May Be Too Risky
“The reason this fight attracts me is because it’s dangerous,” Whyte admitted. “My last fight lasted a round so people could be thinking I’m washed up and finished now so let them run with that.”
Whyte said he doesn’t mind the role he might play in Fisher’s career. “I don’t mind being a stepping stone because you need a stepping stone to step somewhere else. Let’s go. They want to fight me. I was at home relaxing, they offered me out, so let’s get it on.”
Sky Sports expert Johnny Nelson issued a warning about the potential matchup. He believes Whyte would be too much for Fisher at this stage of his development.
“I spoke to Dillian Whyte, who is kind of looking at being a potential opponent for Johnny Fisher,” Nelson said. “I think Dillian knows too much for him, regardless of what stage of his career he’s at.”
Nelson suggested Fisher’s team should be more careful with matchmaking. “They need to think smartly, matchmaking him, if they want to get him to a British title attempt.”
The expert advised against making the fight happen now. “I wouldn’t put him in with Dillian Whyte, because Dillian knows too much. He’s strong, he’s rugged and he’s experienced.”
Fisher has 12 knockouts in his 15 professional victories. His performance against Pirotton on Saturday raised questions about whether he is ready to face experienced opposition like Whyte.
