Canadian mixed martial arts fighter Jasmine Jasudavicius defeated Karine Silva by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 273 on Saturday in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The 37-year-old from St. Catharines won all three scorecards 29-28 in the women’s flyweight bout.
The event took place at Canada Life Centre in front of 14,051 spectators. UFC Fight Night: Burns vs. Malott featured five main card bouts and was broadcast live on Paramount+.
Jasudavicius entered the fight with a record of 15-4, looking to bounce back from a loss to Manon Fiorot at UFC Vancouver in October 2025. That defeat ended a five-fight winning streak for the Canadian fighter.
Her opponent, 32-year-old Silva from Dourados, Brazil, came into the match with a 19-7 record. Silva was also trying to recover from a recent loss, having dropped a decision to Maycee Barber at UFC 323 in December 2025.

Early Trouble Turns to Dominance
Silva controlled the opening round with a takedown that put Jasudavicius in a defensive position. The Brazilian attempted a triangle choke submission, but Jasudavicius escaped and changed her approach.
After surviving the early danger, Jasudavicius found success with her own takedowns and ground control. She pressured Silva with chokeholds while avoiding the Brazilian’s counterattacks from the bottom position.
The Canadian fighter maintained control throughout the middle rounds. Silva remained dangerous even while fighting from her back, but Jasudavicius managed to stay out of serious trouble.
Ground Control Secures Victory
The third round saw Jasudavicius continue her dominance on the ground. She controlled Silva from the top position and landed punches until the final bell.
All three judges scored the fight 29-28 in favor of Jasudavicius. The unanimous decision victory moved her back into the top ten of the UFC women’s flyweight rankings.
In her post-fight interview with Paramount+, Jasudavicius discussed the challenges of the match. “She was good at locking stuff up on the bottom, and I wasn’t able to progress like I would have liked to,” she said.
The Canadian fighter expressed determination to continue improving. “We continue moving forward and get better from this,” Jasudavicius added. “And we continue climbing up the rankings.”
When asked about her next opponent, Jasudavicius made her intentions clear. “Anyone who’s ranked above me,” she said. “I would love to get any of that on my way up to the top.”
Jasudavicius is sponsored by Monster Energy, which also supports other UFC fighters including Alex Pereira, Belal Muhammad, Valentina Shevchenko, and Justin Gaethje. The victory marks her 16th career win and returns her to the winner’s circle after her previous setback.
