A mixed martial arts fight in the Czech Republic ended in chaos on February 7 when fighter Pavol Vasko bit his opponent’s ear during the main event at Clash MMA 15 in Brno. The incident left opponent Vaclav Mikulasek severely injured and triggered a violent crowd reaction.

Vasko, a Slovak heavyweight fighter and underground rapper who performs under the stage name Pali Hari, bit Mikulasek’s left ear during the first round of their heavyweight bout. The bite caused heavy bleeding and the referee immediately stopped the fight, disqualifying Vasko.

Following the disqualification, fans and members of Mikulasek’s team rushed the cage. Video footage from the event shows Vasko attempting to escape the arena as spectators attacked him.

    Violent Crowd Response

As Vasko fled toward the backstage area, he was punched multiple times by fans and other fighters. Spectators threw drinks at him, including beer, and someone struck him with a chair before security personnel intervened.

The violent scene quickly spread across social media, drawing comparisons to the infamous 1997 boxing match when Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield’s ear. That incident occurred during the “Sound and The Fury” event in June 1997.

Mikulasek, who fights under the nickname “Baba Jaga,” required immediate medical attention for the injury. He underwent surgery to have his ear stitched back together and posted pictures of the injury on social media.

Doctors expect Mikulasek to make a full recovery from the injury. His current professional record stands at 9 wins and 13 losses.

    Fighter Background and Previous Controversies

Vasko fights exclusively for Clash MMA, a promotion that markets itself as pushing boundaries in combat sports entertainment. The organization allows extreme strikes including headbutts, stomps, and soccer kicks that are banned in traditional MMA.

However, even Clash MMA prohibits biting in all its matches. This marks the second consecutive disqualification for Vasko against Mikulasek, as he was also disqualified for an illegal foul at Clash MMA 14.

Outside the cage, Vasko maintains a parallel career as a rapper and music producer using the alias Pali Hari888. He primarily competes in Clash MMA events, which blend fighting with influencer culture and entertainment.

The promotion has built its reputation on loosened regulations and custom rule sets for different bouts. Despite marketing some fights as “no rules” matches, the organization maintains specific prohibitions including the ban on biting.

The incident has sparked debate about safety and regulation in extreme fighting promotions. Some question whether fighters with Vasko’s disciplinary history should be allowed to headline major cards.

Mikulasek had already been scheduled to fight Matej Surin at CFN 6 on May 30 in Martin, Slovakia. Organizers have not announced whether the ear injury will affect those plans.
