The UFC is dealing with expanding fight-fixing allegations after MMA journalist Harry Mac claimed over 100 fights have been flagged by the FBI. These claims have not been verified by other sources or federal officials. The controversy centers on Isaac Dulgarian’s first-round submission loss to Yadier del Valle at UFC Vegas 110.
Mac posted his allegations on X, stating the FBI informed the UFC about the Dulgarian fight being flagged. He claimed the promotion allowed the fight to continue despite warnings. Mac also alleged two other fights from the same card were flagged for unusual betting patterns.
Update: federal regulators have flagged OVER 100 UFC fights this year for abnormal betting patterns, including 2 additional fighters on last nights card. Shit is about to get VERY ugly. Still working to confirm but it sounds like the Feds are moving to audit Herzogs fights https://t.co/mtx6XiTFJS

On the Empty the Bench Network’s MMA Outsiders podcast, Mac named the other fighters. He identified UFC Vegas 110 headliner David Onama and Daniel Frunza as athletes whose fights raised concerns. Both fighters lost their bouts on the card.
Onama faced Steve Garcia in the main event. Garcia finished Onama in the first round with strikes. Fight fans on social media called for an investigation after Mac’s initial post about multiple flagged fights.
Frunza lost to Charles Radtke via submission. Mac stressed that being flagged does not mean wrongdoing occurred. He said unusual betting could simply be someone placing larger bets based on a hunch.
Referee Audit Claims
Mac also claimed fights refereed by Jason Herzog might be audited by federal officials. This allegation has not been confirmed by any official source. Jack Gold from the MMA Outsiders mentioned receiving a list of 50 potentially flagged fights from an unnamed source.
Gold said many fights on the list were officiated by Herzog. No federal agency or the UFC has confirmed any audit of specific referees. These claims remain unverified allegations.
The original Dulgarian case has been confirmed by UFC CEO Dana White. White revealed IC 360, the UFC’s betting monitoring company, alerted them around 1 PM on fight day. The company reported unusual betting activity on the Dulgarian vs. del Valle fight.
White said the UFC called Dulgarian and his lawyer before the bout. They asked if he was injured, owed money, or had been approached about fixing the fight. Dulgarian denied everything and said he would win.
The betting line shifted dramatically before the fight. Dulgarian entered as a -250 favorite but the odds moved to -166. Heavy money was placed on del Valle winning by first-round finish.
Del Valle dominated the fight and submitted Dulgarian in the first round. It was Dulgarian’s first stoppage loss as a professional. Multiple sportsbooks including Caesars, William Hill, and DraftKings refunded bets on the fight.
White called the FBI immediately after the bout ended. He met with FBI agents twice on Tuesday. White also spoke directly with FBI director Kash Patel about the investigation.
Dulgarian was released from his UFC contract following the fight. The Nevada State Athletic Commission reportedly withheld his fight purse. The commission has not officially confirmed this action.
White dismissed Mac’s claims about hundreds of fights being investigated. He called the reports “clickbait bullshit” during an interview with TMZ. White said IC 360 monitors all betting and there are no widespread investigations.
The situation connects to a 2022 scandal involving Darrick Minner and coach James Krause. Betting lines shifted before Minner’s fight and he was finished in 67 seconds. The UFC banned fighters from associating with Krause after that incident.
Dulgarian previously trained at Glory MMA & Fitness with Krause. He later moved to Factory X in Colorado. Marc Montoya, Factory X’s head coach, cut ties with Dulgarian over the allegations.
White said the Dulgarian investigation will be combined with the ongoing Krause case. He warned fighters that the UFC would work with the FBI to prosecute anyone involved in fight-fixing. White said the promotion would do everything possible to ensure guilty parties go to prison.
Several UFC fighters posted on social media about being approached to fix fights. Vince Morales, Vanessa Demopoulos, and Lando Vannata made such claims. Morales and Vannata later said they were joking.
White said any fighter actually approached about fixing fights must report it to law enforcement. He said those fighters will now be contacted by the FBI. White compared not reporting such approaches to failing to report someone asking you to rob a bank.
