Eddie Hearn and Dana White continue to clash over who will promote and produce the upcoming Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight scheduled for December 11 in Cardiff, Wales. The fight will stream on Netflix, but the roles of White and his UFC production team remain disputed.
White told reporters at the UFC 332 post-fight press conference that his team will handle production for the event. “We’re producing the show. Just like Canelo-Crawford, same thing,” White said. “Craig Borsari, Zach, my whole team. We will be producing the show.”

He also doubles down and says they will be producing and promoting the show, despite Eddie Hearn saying he can't

Hearn quickly rejected White’s claims during his own press conference. “To be honest with you at this point, I think he’s completely cooked,” Hearn said. “What he actually said was, ‘We are doing the TV production,’ which again in the contract is prohibited.”
Hearn Says SELA Confirmed White Cannot Produce Event
After White’s comments, Hearn said he contacted SELA, the Saudi-based company involved in organizing the fight. According to Hearn, SELA told him White’s claims were false.
“After that video, I spoke to SELA and I said, ‘Have you seen this video?’ They said, ‘Yes, and it’s completely untrue.’ He cannot do that under the contract,” Hearn stated.
The British Boxing Board of Control confirmed earlier this week that the official promoters for the event are Matchroom Boxing, Queensberry Promotions, and SELA. Zuffa Boxing was not listed on the form.
White was not present at the launch press conference for the fight earlier this week. He has continued to insist he will both promote and produce the event despite Hearn’s objections.
Hearn said Joshua’s contract includes a clause that prevents White from being involved in the fight. “Ultimately, and I don’t mean to sound arrogant, they cannot be involved in the fight unless myself and Anthony allow them to be,” Hearn explained.
Meeting Scheduled for Wednesday in Los Angeles
Hearn confirmed he will meet with Zuffa Boxing representatives, including White, on Wednesday in Los Angeles. The meeting comes after months of public disagreement between the two promoters.
Hearn said the meeting could serve to clear the air or find a way forward. “It could be to clear the air. It could be, ‘What are we going to do? Are we going to keep doing this?'” he said.
According to Hearn, Turki Alalshikh and Netflix both want White involved in the promotion of the fight. Hearn said he is not opposed to White’s involvement but wants to understand what he would gain from allowing it.
“So I’m not against it. I just want you to tell me and explain why. Why should I? So what’s in it? What’s in it for us? Once we establish that, we can make a decision,” Hearn said.
Hearn believes progress may be made during the meeting. “I reckon we probably might work something out,” he said.
White has since denied he will attend the meeting during his most recent press conference for Dana White’s Contender Series. This contradicts Hearn’s statement that White would be present at the Wednesday meeting.
Hearn said he is not seeking an apology from White. “He hasn’t said anything personally offensive to me,” Hearn stated. “So I’m not really like, ‘Oh, you need to apologize.’ But they’re completely checkmated in this situation.”
The Fury-Joshua fight will take place at Principality Stadium in Cardiff on December 11. Despite the promotional dispute, the fight remains official and will proceed as scheduled.
