UFC 332 takes place Saturday with Natalia Silva and Wang Cong fighting for the vacant women’s flyweight championship. The belt became available after long-time champion Valentina Shevchenko suffered an injury that prevented her from defending the title at this event.
Silva enters the fight with a perfect 8-0 UFC record and currently rides a 14-fight winning streak. Her overall record stands at 20-5-1, with recent victories over three former champions.
The Brazilian fighter defeated Rose Namajunas by unanimous decision in January at UFC 324. She followed that performance with another unanimous decision win over Alexa Grasso in May 2025.

Silva also holds a victory over former champion Jessica Andrade during her current winning streak. Against Namajunas, she landed 51 strikes while allowing only 26, showing her ability to control experienced opponents.
Wang Cong’s Path to the Title Shot
Wang Cong carries a 10-1 overall record into the championship bout and has won five of six UFC fights. She enters on a four-fight winning streak, all victories coming by unanimous decision.
Her most recent win came against Tracy Cortez at UFC 329 in July. Wang secured that victory despite receiving a point deduction for an illegal knee.
Before facing Cortez, Wang defeated Eduarda Moura in February. She accepted this title shot on relatively short notice after Shevchenko’s injury created the opening.
Wang brings a decorated striking background to the octagon, including a previous kickboxing victory over Shevchenko. Her leg kicks and pressure-based approach have proven effective in recent outings.
Fight Predictions and Betting Lines
Silva opens as the betting favorite at -205, while Wang enters as the underdog at +170. The over/under for the fight finishing before 4.5 rounds sits at -315 for over and +230 for under.
Analysts expect Silva’s movement and defensive skills to create problems for Wang’s aggressive style. Silva’s 66 percent strike defense rate supports predictions that she can avoid extended exchanges.
Wang’s best chance appears to involve attacking Silva’s legs and reducing her mobility advantage. If successful with early calf kicks, Wang could limit the explosive movement that allows Silva to score and exit cleanly.
Most predictions favor Silva winning by unanimous decision through superior positioning and cleaner striking. The fight is expected to go the full five rounds based on neither fighter’s recent history of finishes.
The vacant title fight headlines a card that some analysts describe as falling short of typical pay-per-view standards but solid for a Fight Night event. Both fighters face the challenge of making fans care about a championship that doesn’t feel like the real belt with Shevchenko’s absence.
