Former flyweight champion Alexa Grasso will face top-ranked contender Manon Fiorot this Saturday at UFC Noche 4 in Glendale, Arizona. The bout takes on added importance after champion Valentina Shevchenko recently vacated the title due to injury.

Fiorot enters as the betting favorite at -250 odds, with Grasso listed as the underdog at +195 according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The French fighter is currently ranked No. 2 in the flyweight division.

Grasso, who holds a 17-5-1 record, is coming off a first-round knockout victory over Maycee Barber in March. That finish came after back-to-back losses to Shevchenko and Natalia Silva had temporarily removed her from title contention.

The Mexican fighter previously held the flyweight championship before losing it in her rematch with Shevchenko. She now looks to re-establish herself as a top contender in the newly opened division.

Fiorot’s Path Back to Title Contention

Fiorot brings a 13-2 record into the contest and recently challenged Shevchenko for the title in May 2025. She lost that fight by unanimous decision after five rounds but remained competitive throughout.

Before the title fight, Fiorot had secured a first-round TKO victory over Jasmine Jasudavicius in October. That win extended a strong run of performances that earned her the championship opportunity.

The French striker built her career on a karate-based style that emphasizes volume striking and precise kicks. Her only career losses have come against Shevchenko, who was considered pound-for-pound one of the best fighters in the sport.

Fiorot’s speed and output have proven difficult for most opponents to handle. She controls range effectively with her kicking game and maintains a high pace throughout her fights.

    Grasso’s Championship Experience

Grasso began her UFC career primarily as a boxer but has developed a more well-rounded skill set over time. She has added an outside kicking game and demonstrated grappling abilities, including back-takes and submission attempts.

Her knockout of Barber in March showed she still possesses finishing power after the two losses to elite competition. That performance helped rebuild momentum heading into this high-stakes matchup.

Analysts point to Grasso’s championship experience as a potential advantage in the fight. She has competed at the highest level and knows how to perform under pressure on big stages.

However, her recent loss to Silva exposed some vulnerabilities against faster, longer strikers who maintain high output. Silva consistently beat Grasso to the punch and controlled range throughout that fight.

Fiorot presents a similar stylistic challenge with her speed, length, and volume striking approach. The betting odds reflect the expectation that Fiorot will control range and out-land Grasso over three rounds.

Most predictions favor Fiorot to win by decision, with odds of -155 for that outcome. Grasso’s best path to victory may involve extending exchanges and using her superior combination building to offset Fiorot’s athletic advantages.

The fight takes place Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Desert Diamond Arena as part of the UFC Noche 4 main card. With the title now vacant, the winner will likely earn the next championship opportunity in the flyweight division.
