Edson Barboza and Esteban Ribovics will meet in a lightweight bout to open the UFC 330 main card Saturday at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia. The betting odds heavily favor Ribovics, who is priced at -700 while Barboza sits at +440.
Barboza enters the fight looking to snap a three-fight losing streak. The 40-year-old veteran has not won since October 2023, when he defeated Sodiq Yusuff by unanimous decision.
Since that victory, Barboza has lost decisions to Lerone Murphy and Drakkar Klose before suffering a first-round TKO loss to Jalin Turner in December. The Brazilian-American fighter holds a 24-14 overall record with 18 wins inside the UFC.
Ribovics comes into the fight with a 15-3 record and has alternated wins and losses in recent outings. The 30-year-old Argentine fighter lost his last bout when Mateusz Gamrot submitted him in April.
Before that setback, Ribovics earned a Fight of the Night unanimous decision victory over Elves Brener in August 2024. He has posted four wins in the UFC with victories over Terrance McKinney, Daniel Zellhuber, Kamuela Kirk, and Brener.

Age and Physical Decline Shape Betting Market
The 10-year age gap between the fighters has influenced the betting market. Ribovics is 30 years old while Barboza is 40 and has competed in 38 professional MMA bouts.
Barboza holds a six-inch reach advantage at 75 inches compared to Ribovics’ 69 inches. Despite this edge, oddsmakers have installed Ribovics as one of the biggest favorites on the UFC 330 card.
The betting line opened with Ribovics around -400 but has moved steadily in his favor throughout the week. Money has pushed the price through -550 and as high as -700 by Friday.
Ribovics by knockout or TKO is priced at -170, making it the most expected outcome according to bookmakers. The Under 1.5 rounds is listed at +100, while the Over 1.5 rounds sits at -130.
Analysts Predict Stoppage Victory for Ribovics
MMA Junkie analyst Dan Tom predicts Ribovics will win by knockout in Round 1. Tom noted that while it would be nice to see Barboza end his career on a positive note, the veteran has looked “extra washed” in recent fights.
Barboza has been stopped twice during his current three-fight losing streak. He absorbed 4.68 strikes per minute in recent bouts while Ribovics lands 7.27 strikes per minute.
Ribovics bases his offense on athleticism and pace, which could test Barboza’s declining movement and durability. The Argentine fighter has seven knockout wins and five submission victories in his career.
Barboza has 14 knockout wins in his professional career and remains the more technically accomplished striker. However, his reflexes and movement have decreased after 16 years competing in the UFC.
The fight is expected to begin at approximately 9:10 p.m. ET and will stream live on Paramount+.
