UFC 268: Dana White’s two must-watch fights on Saturday night

Jake NicholsBy Jake NicholsNovember 6, 2021No Comments2 Mins Read

UFC 268 takes place tonight at the Madison Square Garden in New York City and will feature two exciting title fight rematches and a stacked main card.

It’s Kamaru Usman vs. Colby Covington for the UFC Welterweight Championship in the main event. In the co-main event, Rose Namajunas will attempt to defend her title against Zhang Weili after defeating her in April this year.

The UFC 268 early prelims begin at 6 pm ET on ESPN+ and the action continues all the way through the night until the pay-per-view main card begins at 10 pm ET only on ESPN+ PPV in the United States.

Dana White has shared his picks for the best under-the-radar fights coming up at UFC 268 tonight. White picks the opening fight of the night, CJ Vergara vs. Ode Osbourne, to be one of the most exciting on the fight card. White also picked Shange Burgos vs. Billy Quarantillo as must-watch action happening on the UFC 268 PPV main card.

Here’s what he had to say.

    C.J. Vergara vs. Ode Osbourne

“CJ Vergara makes his UFC debut after an impressive knockout back in September on the Contender Series. CJ has an aggressive fan-friendly style and he always pushes forward with six of his nine wins coming by knockout. He faces Ode Osbourne.

“Ode is a huge flyweight with incredible finishing power. Similar to CJ, Ode likes to press forward, stalking his opponent and looking for the finish. Eight of his nine wins have come via finish. This is a fun matchup between two very exciting flyweights.”

    Shane Burgos vs. Billy Quarantillo

“Another one that you might not know about is Shane Burgos vs. Billy Quarantillo. Burgos has been a top-15 fighter for a very long time. His last two fights earned him performance of the night bonuses. He’s an all-action striker with big power in both hands, underrated grappling, and a 77 percent finish rate.

“Quarantillo is coming off a fight of the night performance vs. Gabriel Benitez, he’s 4-1 in the UFC and will get his first crack at a top-15 guy. He’s a lot like Burgos with his consistent pressure, he’s dangerous everywhere and has a 75 percent finish rate.”
