UFC 243 takes place this weekend and the main event between Robert Whittaker and Israel Adesanya has seen some significant changes when it comes to the betting odds.
The pair collide in a middleweight title unification fight on Saturday at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. When the bout was made official, the opening odds had Whittaker as a -185 favorite while Adesanya was a +160 underdog.
However, with less than a week to go for the event, the lines have shifted dramatically. Most bookmakers now have the fight as a pick ’em with both fighters moving to -110.
That means you would need to bet $110 on either fighter to win $100.
It seems the big money is coming in for Adesanya late on with “The Last Stylebender” currently undefeated and coming off his interim title win over Kelvin Gastelum earlier this year.
Whittaker, meanwhile, last competed at UFC 225 in June last year and has only fought three times since the start of 2017. He has also dealt with multiple injuries which could play a factor. In that same period, Adesanya has competed eight times.
