Zhang Weili and Rose Namajunas at UFC 261

Rose Namajunas earned a stunning first-round knockout victory against Zhang Weili at UFC 261 and became the first female to recapture a title in UFC history.

Order UFC 284

Alexander Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev, the top two pound-for-pound fighters in the UFC, will clash at UFC 284 on Feb. 11. Order the PPV now to watch the champion vs. champion fight live on Saturday.

It took just 78 seconds for Namajunas to end the fight with a brilliant left high kick. Now that she’s the champion again and Zhang has been relegated back to challenger, what’s next for both of these fighters after UFC 261?

In this video, Patrick Auger and Drake Riggs discuss Namajunas’ perfect knockout win and talk about what’s next for Rose Namajunas and what’s next for Zhang Weili.

Who would you like to see each of these fighters fight next? Would you be interested in an immediate Namajunas vs. Zhang rematch or something else? Let us know in the comments section below!

While I look forward to a Rose/Weili rematch, I too think we should see Joanna/Weili first, with the winner challenging for the title and the Carla/Yan winner challenging in the meantime. Dern does need to win one more against either a top ranked fighter or Tatiana before challenging for the title. I hadn’t heard anyone mention Rose vs. Valentina, and I doubt if it’s even being considered by the powers that be.

NOT interested in a rematch.

I’m not interested in a rematch, and neither interested in her fighting the bullet no.
