Amanda Nunes vs. Irene Aldana: Betting Odds and Fight Preview

Should the UFC keep the women’s featherweight division?

That’s the question everyone is asking right now after Megan Anderson has been released by the promotion following her defeat to Amanda Nunes at UFC 259. The promotion has just a handful of female featherweight fighters remaining on the roster and the lone booked fight for the division is Felicia Spencer vs. Danyelle Wolf on May 22.

In this video posted to our YouTube channel, Patrick Auger and Matthew Wells share their very different takes on what should happen to the UFC women’s featherweight division.

Wells believes the UFC should keep the women’s featherweight division. He says there’s a benefit for the promotion to keep the two-division status for Amanda Nunes.

Auger wants to see the UFC women’s featherweight division scrapped. He believes there just isn’t any potential there and that Nunes isn’t being helped by relatively easy wins against lesser-skilled competition at 145-pounds.
