Chris Weidman suffered a horrific broken leg in his middleweight matchup with Uriah Hall at UFC 261 on Saturday night.

The former middleweight champion attempted a low kick as the very first strike of the fight but Hall turned his shin out to deflect the incoming kick. The perfectly-timed block broke Weidman’s leg and ended the fight immediately.

It’s a shocking turn of events considering Weidman’s involvement in the Anderson Silva leg break in 2013.

Weidman was rushed to hospital and he has since completed surgery yesterday (Sunday, April 27).

But now, the question needs to be asked, could (and should) this be the last time we see Chris Weidman competing inside the Octagon?

Patrick Auger and Drake Riggs answer that question in this video.

What do you think? Would you like to see Weidman make a comeback in the future or should this be it for the former champ?
