Jon Jones at UFC 247

Jon Jones and First Round Management have ‘amicably decided to part ways’ after 11 years.

First Round Management released a statement on Twitter yesterday:

“After an 11 year journey as @JonnyBones management team, First Round Management and Bones have amicably decided to part ways. We are proud of him and the work we’ve done. We wish him the best going forward.”

Not long after, Jones shared his thoughts on Instagram:

“It’s been an absolutely amazing journey. Thank you so much for all the memories, and business ventures. Wishing the Kawa family and everyone over at first round management many blessings moving forward. Glad to be able to call you guys friends for life.”

The announcement comes just as Jones has been actively negotiating with the UFC for a megafight with UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

Dana White recently revealed that the UFC is more interested in booking Francis Ngannou vs. Derrick Lewis than the Jones title challenge.

In this video, Matthew Wells and Ant Walker discuss the news of Jones and First Round Management parting ways. What does this mean for Jon Jones right now? And which management team could he end up signing with (if any)?
