UFC awaits commission approval before Las Vegas return on May 30 1

Ant Walker, Michael Fiedel, and Patrick Auger discuss the UFC’s plans to return to Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 30.

The UFC is desperately seeking a return to its APEX Facility in Las Vegas as this would allow the promotion tighter control over its events amid the coronavirus pandemic, among other benefits.

Potentially standing in the way of the UFC’s plans, however, is the Nevada State Athletic Commission, who will decide on Wednesday, May 27, whether the event will be sanctioned.

All combat sports events are temporarily suspended in Nevada and the short three-day timeframe could render unexpected results for the UFC.

This discussion is part one of a three-part conversation available here on The Body Lock.
